Eventing at an international level is achieved through much hard work and large financial backup.  Expenses for the horse, boarding, shoeing, veterinary bills, show fees, transportation, tack/equipment, and insurance, even on one horse, can add up to $25,000 per year.  For many including myself, it becomes impossible to compete without the help of sponsors.  Sponsors can benefit as well, with advertising on saddle pads, truck/trailer, as part of a horse’s show name, etc.  I have been accepted by the American Horse Trials Foundation, a non- profit corporation established to help accomplished eventing riders financially.  Checks to the AHTF are tax-deductible, and Chelsea receives 93% of the funds donated.  There are other ways to become a sponsor, please contact Chelsea for more information.
